Our Story

Truro Treasures began in 1992 when several community members, most notably Betty Groom and Boo Houstoun, envisioned a fall weekend for children and adults to raise money to help save the Highland Lighthouse, and to promote community pride and interest in Truro. As a result, a non-profit organization named Truro Treasures was created to sponsor the event.

Since then, Truro Treasures has evolved and expanded into an annual fall weekend event that is crammed full of activities. The Mission of Truro Treasures dedicated to benefiting the community of Truro.
